Beermad

Beermad

Sam Smith (1758-)

brewery

Tadcaster, North Yorkshire

Founded 1758. Sadly, the magnificent Museum Ale is no longer brewed, leaving the drinkable but unremarkable OBB as the only real ale. The brewery has a number of pubs in London, including the Princess Louise and the Cittie of Yorke. A number of bottled beers are produced (albeit not bottle-conditioned.) Described by the first edition of the Good Beer Guide as being a 'Distinctive brew - but too much pressure.'
