  • Arendsnest This is a bar which tries to stock beer from every Dutch brewery. Which is really the only reason for linking to it; I have found the service somewhat indifferent.
  • Café Belgique Excellent little bar in the centre of Amsterdam.
  • Café Gollem Well-known beer cafe in the city centre.

  • Elfde Gebod A comfy bar with a good range of beers.
  • Hesp
  • In De Wildeman Probably the best bar in the city. And one of Europe's great bars. A "must visit" if you're in Amsterdam.

Only draught beers satisfying Camra's definition of Real Ale are listed on this site. Keg beers, canned beers and similar abominations are treated with the contempt they deserve and ignored. Neither are bottled beers listed, whether bottle-conditioned or not; much as I'd like to cover these, maintaining a definitive list of them would make Beermad an impossibly large task.
